An institutional critique about the low-frequency/non-functioning of the routers at The Jutland Art
Academy. It began as an open joke, sooner served as a fig leaf for the growing frustration among
some of the students, as it affected the further unfolding of the teaching, which often depended on
the routers working smoothly.
The concept was formed from an assembly in 2020; which justified it as
an obstruction not only at the academy facilities, but “of the whole area”, raising confusion and
questions, as of why no one, was trying to solve it. The concept was a quiet protest, which used
merch. as seeds to openly communicate the lack of resources which affected the education and work of
the students.
An attempt to solve the issue was achieved autumn 2022, after the campaign ceased
operating, when Helle Kongstad Holm Petersen ended her education at The Jutland Art Academy. Trough
insight of current students, new routers was bought. Though “rough” weather, e.g. rain, would
obstruct the frequencies and once again slow or sever the use of them.
